Editor, founder and producer of House Divided, a quarterly magazine devoted to the American Civil War, had some articles published in the USA. I also founded ‘The Stonewall Brigade Band’, a living history brass band of the 1860s.

Nursing. After qualifying as a ‘Registered Nurse for the Mentally Subnormal’ (RNMS) I worked at various hospitals before moving to Leicester as a Charge Nurse.
